The one with the mountain creature nobody can photograph

Somewhere up here lives an elusive Himalayan something that has eluded every camera ever pointed at it, which I respect enormously. I would also like to be that difficult to document. This being a later-week puzzle, a few of the clues keep a similar distance before they finally let you catch them.
